THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR SUPPORTING THIS DREAM

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR SUPPORTING THIS DREAM
This Book is the result of a Father and Son who embarked on a Spontaneous poetic journey of healing Laughter, thought, uncertainty, creativity and the plain and simple Joy of communicating. While Transcontinental in Body (Father in America Son in Japan) we were right next to each other in Spirit and created a series of passages every day for two months(while he recovered from a surgery) never revealing the contents of our work until written the end of each day. What transpired was a synchronicity of works unlike any other. A short time in the process of writing these pieces and calling each other each day to recite them, a connection of literary spiritualism began to emerge. Both of our works began to sync, in concept, questions on one passage while the other answers the question, the topic of why and and this is why and so on. We are very excited and enthused to share our Journey with you and we hope you can capture the frequency of love an communication as we did.
2006 This is the first book I ever wrote and it took years to compile!
This manual is to help men (mainly) be more of a gentleman when approaching women, in many different situations. And Women to have a slight understanding of what men will go through to talk to them!
Great Novelty Read,
The title says it all!!
In April 2017, my father learned that he was going to have surgery done on his kidneys and it would leave him immobile for almost 2 months of recovery. Just a little insight to my father he is a 72-year-old active powerhouse, he never stops, whether bowling, whether church, whether singing his gospel or just spending time with the family, he is constant. Knowing this fact, it got my wheels turning on what could be done to keep his mind occupied during his recovery process as he was never in hospitals or had surgery before. I was in the midst of finishing up a book of writings about life and getting ready to publish this during the moment the epiphany came. I thought to myself, why don’t we write a poem to each other every day of his recovery, and never disclose what we are writing about, we would just call each other and read aloud what we wrote. In this way I would always be able to speak with him and listen to his new creation and he mine. The kicker to this was at that time I was living in Japan and he was living in Sacramento. So, every day we would have to face time each other or call with my international number so that we may disclose what we wrote. I presented this idea to him and there was not much hesitation to him saying he would consider this, and not too long after that that he agreed.
The time came for his surgery and a day after his first recovery I called to find out if he ‘d written anything. Well, he did and to this day I believe he wrote it preemptively before his surgery, but this is yet to be determined. So, from that day we began writing our pieces and calling each other. If you have ever thought of the true definition of surreal, this was it. Being able to write something every day and share it with someone you love and respect was by far more fulfilling than I truly anticipated. The project began, Monday through Sunday, no matter what the circumstance, we had to read off what we wrote no exceptions, even if was 10pm at night, and it was all great. What also was great was his recovery was moving along very well.
In the early part of us writing to each other something odd occurred, we believe it was about two weeks in or more when we started to realize that the poems we were sharing back and forth to each other had recognizable similarities in the context. There were times where he would write a poem speaking about “what could be better.” and the poem I would write was “how to be better,” or my poem would be “I’m feeling like I can’t cope,” in his poem would be about “this is how you cope.” After looking at previous passages that we wrote we saw that it started around the fourth of or fifth day and without any effort it just continued on for primarily the whole time. We synced on a spiritual level that uncompromised what each of us were writing. Even though we knew we had some similarities in what we were writing we both confirmed that we never tried to write something similar and even if we did, there’d be no way because we still did not divulge what each of us were writing. It was magical what was transpiring.
After about two months my father would recover and our last pieces would be written, and in the likeness of this project the last pieces matched almost perfectly. I say almost because it is very distinct on who wrote what and where they were coming from. During this time of us writing I actually stopped working on my book and focused on what we had accomplished. So, over the course of a year and some months, we typed all of these passages up, and organized them according to the date that we wrote. We copyrighted the work, received a gift of a great Cover photo from a 10-year-old girl, edited ALOT and put together a book entitled “Worlds apart but close in Thought “a set of poems written by Terry White and Timothy White.
Just being able to say I published a certifiable work of art with my father is worth more than anything. It dawned on me that after our days are done on this planet our book will still be available and I would behoove anyone that has the inkling do something creative with someone important in their life, do it! I am eating and enjoying my Humble Pie!
Dad Transitioned in 2020 But i will make sure his words reach some Folks
